There are a couple things about this book that are very confusing. The most confusing thing is that Robinson keeps a daily record of what he does and what happens. For the first five chapters it is a daily record from day to day. Then after the fifth chapter he starts to run out of ink and he only records the days that something out of the ordinary happens. This is confusing because it jumps from day to day and it is hard for me to keep track of the events while I am reading the novel. If I could become a character in this novel I would definitely be Robinson. I would want to be Robinson because he is very good at surviving in the wild. He is also very good and making and collecting the things he needs. I think the whole story is very realistic because it is very possible that a person could become abandoned on an island all by themselves and have to do these very things that Robinson does to provide for himself so that he can survive. I think the setting of the story is important because it sets the mood for the story. It would not be as good of a story if the setting was different. I think the ending of the story will result in Robinson dieing on the island. I don’t think he will die from something happening to him, I think he will die from old age. I think he will end up dieing on this island because he has already been on the island for fifteen years and has not run into anybody so there is not much hope that he will ever end up running into somebody.
